Research Priorities of the Center (Concise and Comprehensive):
1.    Epidemiological studies on zoonotic diseases, with particular emphasis on brucellosis.
2.    Investigating strategies to improve prevention and treatment of zoonotic diseases, especially brucellosis.
3.    Epidemiological studies on infectious diseases.
4.    Epidemiological studies on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
5.    Investigation of the prevalence of infectious diseases in food and industrial products.
6.    Studying virulence factors of major pathogenic bacteria such as Shigella, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumannii, Helicobacter pylori, and others.
7.    Molecular epidemiology of major pathogenic bacteria using molecular techniques.
8.    Phenotypic and genotypic analysis of antimicrobial resistance in major pathogenic bacteria.
9.    Epidemiological studies on hospital-acquired infections and outbreaks caused by microorganisms.
10.    Investigation of preventive methods for hospital-acquired infections.
11.    Interdisciplinary studies encompassing epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
12.    Application of bioinformatics in infectious diseases.
13.    Application of artificial intelligence in infectious diseases.
14.    Investigation of biological contamination in food products.
15.    Studying the role of microbes in autoimmune diseases, cancers, multiple sclerosis (MS), Alzheimer’s disease, aging, and other disorders.
16.    Investigating strategies for the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections such as influenza (education, vaccination, crisis management).
17.    Epidemiological studies, prevention, and control of infectious diarrheal diseases.
18.    Epidemiological studies, prevention, and control of vector-borne infectious diseases, including malaria, dengue fever, leishmaniasis, and others.
