The Deputy of Research and Technology of Gonabad University of Medical Sciences is responsible for safeguarding the health of the covered population and remains committed to continuous efforts for improving community health in alignment with the country’s national strategic plans. This responsibility is pursued through the development of human resources, responsiveness to real community needs, advancement of medical education, prioritization of prevention over treatment, support for health-oriented research, strengthening of intra- and inter-sectoral collaboration, and implementation of health system transformation programs. Benefiting from the university’s flexibility, its location in an academic city with strong social capital, and its compact geographic scope, the Deputy is also prepared to share and transfer its experiences to other universities.
